Terms of service

The agreement between you and Conquish — written to be read, not buried.

Last updated: 9 September 2026

1. The agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and Conquish ("we", "us") for your use of the Conquish app and website (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. If you use Conquish on behalf of a household, you confirm you have authority to agree on its behalf.

2. Your account and household

  • You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your login credentials secure.
  • Each household has at least one owner, who controls membership and billing.
  • You are responsible for the people you invite and for activity that happens under your account. Owners are responsible for managing access grants to sensitive areas (money, insurance, documents).
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Plans, trials and billing

  • Free plan. Includes tasks, shopping, reminders, calendar and contacts for a single user, with up to 3 assistant chats per day.
  • Premium trial. New households receive a 30-day free trial of Premium features. No card is required to start the trial. When the trial ends, the household moves to the Free plan unless you subscribe.
  • Premium subscription. Billed monthly or annually in South African Rand through our payment provider, PayFast. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • After a downgrade. Your data is never deleted when a subscription lapses. Premium-only features become read-only or locked, and your records remain intact if you re-subscribe.
  • Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change before it applies to your subscription.

4. Your content

  • You own your content — the tasks, documents, policies, contacts and other records your household creates. We claim no ownership over it.
  • You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display your content solely to provide the service to you and your household.
  • You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload — please don't upload other people's confidential documents without permission.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, harmful or fraudulent;
  • upload malware or attempt to breach, probe or disrupt the service or another household's data;
  • scrape the service or access it through automated means other than our published interfaces;
  • misuse the email relay or messaging features to send spam; or
  • resell the service or misrepresent it as your own.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with notice where reasonably possible.

6. AI features and extracted data

Features that read documents or answer questions using AI provide suggestions, not professional advice. Extracted details (amounts, dates, policy numbers) are always shown to you for confirmation before anything is saved. You remain responsible for checking important figures, deadlines and renewal dates. For financial, legal or insurance decisions, consult a qualified professional.

7. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the service fast and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change or remove features over time; if we remove a paid feature materially, we will reduce the impact — for example with a pro-rated credit — where no reasonable alternative exists.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conquish is not liable for indirect or consequential losses — such as missed renewals, lost profits or data loss caused by factors outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Consumer rights and cooling off

If you are a consumer under the South African Consumer Protection Act or Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, including any applicable cooling-off rights for electronic transactions.

10. Termination

You can stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law. On deletion, your household's data is removed as described in our privacy policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, without limiting any rights you have to approach another competent forum as a consumer.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect, and the date below reflects the current version. Questions: legal@conquish.com, or via our contact page.

Also read our privacy policy — it explains how we handle your household's data.
