Guide: Google Drive sync
Your files stay in Google Drive. Conquish imports them as tracked documents, reads the important fields, and keeps them linked so you open the original with one tap.
Open DocumentsConnecting
- Open Documents and connect Google Drive.
- Choose the Google account that holds the household paperwork.
- Conquish can read the files you pick, and save backups into a folder it creates for you.
What gets imported
PDFs, images, Word files and Google Docs, Sheets and Presentations. Conquish converts Google Workspace files to PDF before reading them, so the original in Drive stays untouched.
After import
- Each file becomes a document in Conquish with a link back to the Drive original.
- Conquish reads renewal dates, reference numbers, amounts and other key fields.
- Confirmed dates flow into Reminders.
- If a file is removed from Drive, Conquish marks it unavailable.
Backing up to Drive
- Documents you upload to Conquish can be copied into your own Drive.
- They land under Conquish / Documents, filed as Insurance, Vehicles, Property, Money or Other.
- Back up one document at a time, or press Back up all.
- Switch on Automatic and every new upload is copied across once Conquish has read it.
- Backing up again updates the same file in Drive instead of making a copy.
- If you connected before backups existed, reconnect once to grant the extra permission.
If it stops
Google occasionally asks you to sign in again. Conquish shows a reconnect prompt and you can disconnect at any time from the Documents page.
